Soida Bituminous Emulsions

Bitumen emulsions are the most commonly used binder in cold paving technologies, allowing numerous applications such as tack coats, microsurfacings and chip seals. These products are designed primarily for paving services, such as impregnation, bonding, cured, sealing and anti-dust watering. Also, whenever it is advisable to dispense with heating or use moderate heating. So-called ‘cold technologies’ are generally regarded as environmentally friendly construction technologies because they help reduce energy spending thanks to lower operating temperatures and the use of wet aggregates.

Soida manufactures and offers a complete range of cationic emulsions based on pure bitumen that meets all official specifications and is formulated for every use.

The type of emulsion is fundamentally defined by the aggregates to be applied and the climatology. Cationic emulsions are the most common, and they adapt perfectly to any aggregate and allow working in unfavourable environmental conditions.

When bituminous emulsions mix with aggregates, they break their balance (water separation with bitumen). Depending on how easily this process happens, we can classify them: fast, medium or slow. In addition to the type of break, we have other subgroups to sort the emulsions: bitumen concentration, viscosity, fluidizer content, characteristics of the residual asphalt bitumen, among others.

These are the reasons for the follow-up of customers, evaluation and recommendation of the dosage for each work. Therefore, the types of dosage are monitored, analyzed and recommended for each specific work.
